When he was in a position to open a storefront, he sponsored his relative, Gottlob Barth, to help him. When Uncle Gottlob decided to open his own bakery, he sponsored my grandfather (his nephew) to work for him, and as the business grew, brought over other relatives to staff the business — a niece worked the counter and her husband drove the delivery truck.”
